Include Everything

Taking inspiration from the first two limbs of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras—the Yamas (restraints) and Niyamas (observances)—we’ll explore and define our own foundational principles in composing and making dances through experimentation, writing, improvisation, and witnessing. Resisting the urge to “produce,” instead we’ll luxuriate in the uncertain, messy terrain of process.

Barefoot Dance Fitness

Barefoot Dance Fitness invites you to play extravagantly while dancing to outrageously good music. The choreography is simple enough to allow everyone to get out of their heads and deeply into their bodies. This special SwayFest class begins with a 30 minute session using writing, talking, and drawing to expand our understanding of our personal creativity. Participants are welcome to come to one or both sessions. Dancing starts at 9:30!
